With your permission we like to celebrate the children’s birthdays in the nursery. We are very conscious of the damage that sweet things do to children’s teeth and general health, so we have a pretend cake for the child to blow out.
At Hampden Way we know that parent’s like to share this special time with their child’s friends and teachers. We have a scheme where parents donate a book to the school library and write a little message inside and date it. On your child’s birthday we will read the story to the class and then we also have it in our library for others to share. If you would like to do this bring in the book on the day of your child’s birthday and we will light the candles and share the book.
Do not feel under any obligation to do this but if you would like to share something we think this benefits the children better.
