Following on from our Mother's day celebrations last weekend, the children have been painting daffodils, learning the names of different parts of a flower. We have also been developing our physical skills in many different and exciting ways. In particular the children have been practising their scissor skills, creating bracelets, crowns and interestingly -handcuffs! Please take a maths challenge that builds on the learning this week - finding objects to draw around and cut out.
We have also been making mud baths for animals and hunting for treasure with metal detectors. Exploring metal and different materials is something we would like to continue next week. We would like every child to bring in a spoon if possible - it can be metal, plastic, wooden, any material!
The children in Rainbow room have been practising their balancing and jumping skills and are becoming very daring!
We are having a focus on self help skills, particularly hanging up our coats and tidying up - please help us by ensuring your child hangs their own coat in the morning, helping them to find the hook inside their coat (hoods do not stay on pegs well!)
We are looking forward to some sunny Spring weather next week, have a lovely weekend.
