We have been getting very messy this week, exploring paint mixed with shaving foam to create a large collaborative artwork. There has been large block towers constructed indoors and out and a lovely block enclosure was made, for Poppy the guinea pig to explore. Following on from children asking to go to the shops to buy carrots for Poppy, we set up our own shop at nursery. There has been lots of role play with the children making their own money, writing shopping lists and taking it in turns to be the shopkeeper. By Friday afternoon, the boxes were beginning to be turned into rockets. This ended up with a trip to the shop to buy foil, with one little boy telling the cashier that he was there to ‘buy the moon.’ So, watch this space to see where this interest takes us. We would also like to thank you for all your generous donations to Children in Need, we certainly enjoyed a cosy day in our pyjamas!
