We had a busy last few days of term. There was lots of collaborative construction using blocks, lego, magnetic shapes, marble runs, mobilo, sand and paper. The children were fascinated by the ice they found in the garden, working out lots of different ways to crack it, using great descriptive language to describe it, exploring it with their hands and looking through it. Sticks were used to create letters and wonderful patterns and lots of stories were shared. Sensory play involved cooking in the mud kitchen and using soap flakes to create milkshakes and ice cream, again involving lots of descriptive language and making links to their own experiences. It has been lovely to see all our new children settle into nursery life and we look forward to seeing you all after half term.
