We have been spoilt with so much good weather this week and the children have been very busy outside. We have been using our muscles to dig over the soil in preparation for our seedlings. It’s been very exciting as our seeds have started to grow and lots of children have been involved in watering and caring for our new plants. We have blown bubbles, created swamps, fairy potions and mud pies. The children have been challenging themselves, leaping from different heights, in different ways onto the crash mat whilst learning the very British skill of how to form an orderly queue. We have also been mixing - oil and water, sand and powder paint, to see what happens and been finding out about bugs and mini beasts. A big thank you to the parents that joined us for the maths workshop this week. The next workshop, Ready, Steady, School is on the Wednesday 23 May at 9-10am, 1-2pm and 7-8pm, it would be lovely to see you there. There are sign up sheets on the classroom doors.
Rainbow room have also been very excited as they discovered mini beasts under a log - worms, wood lice, beetles and even a centipede. The children have also enjoyed lots of climbing and jumping. There has been lots of mark making, sharing stories with each other and time for a little nap in the shed!
